I'm the measure five times, drill once kind of person. Installation took me about an hour, but I could have gone quicker. All hardware included seems to be of good quality. It even includes the hog clips and shrink wrap for the non-adjustable end of the trolley line. The kit is inexpensive and includes everything you need except for your tools and some silicone sealant. I can tell you though, that you would have to be doing something wrong to be disappointed with this kit. There are a lot of kits out there, and most, if not all, will fit the bill. If you anchor your kayak in any kind of wind or current, you will want one. Makes it quick to jettison the anchor when you hook that big one and need to go quickly.Īnchor trolley. I already had a larger cleat that accommodates both the trolly line and the anchor line. Does not have the post knobs like the hobie kit but I wouldn't have used them anyway with the cleat. It can be added if you want to add a short piece attached at the triangle. There is no shock cord provided in this kit like the Hobie kit. The screws for mounting the pullies are proper length but if you use the ones provided to mount into the cable guide insert it is too long and must be cut off to about 1/2". I prefer using the one hole guides and not drilling an extra hole although the rubber plugs work fine. The two hole cable guides require either drilling an additional hole in the hull or simply finding a pair of one hole guides. Be careful to not let the pully halves come apart or you'll have bearings everywhere. The pullies fit the inserts at both ends but had to drill out the holes in the pullies slightly to allow the screws to align.
